Join.me review
An excellent screen sharing service that's free? Surely there's a catch? Karl Wright takes a closer look in our review.
There really wasn't much we didn't like about Join.me. If we had to find one fault, it would be that meetings don't time out after a period of inactivity. So once your call is over, don't forget to close your screen before having an intimate IM chat with your other half.
Unless you really need the extra gumpf, we'd stick with the free version. It's easy to use, does everything most people will need and is, by definition, great value. After all, you can always schedule your meetings in Outlook. This is bad news for Join.me, as it tries to make a buck out of the notoriously tricky "freemium" business model, but it's great for the rest of us.
Verdict
Join.me is great. It’s easy to use, it doesn’t gobble up your computer’s resources, it does everything most people will need of screen sharing software and it’s free.
