IT has become indispensable for the majority of businesses.

What do you think are the most important skills people wanting to enter the IT job market should have nowadays?

To listen, to desire, to never stop learning, to be curious, to think about impact beyond that moment.

What advice would you give someone thinking of entering the IT jobs market/your younger self?

The above about skills and to get an IT qualification or build work experience.

What is the biggest challenge facing IT professionals at the moment?

Delivering fast enough and dealing with the heightened (and sometimes unrealistic) expectations that people have.

What technologies/trends are you currently watching and why?

Mobile OS it will move to the "desktop" and change the game further by making functionality more modular, encouraging more application delivery via the cloud.

The days of monolithic local software installations are numbered. The use of Graphene should also have a huge impact on technology and will allow the creation of a bigger variety of devices for the consumption of information and use of applications.

Conversely, what current technology/trend are you not interested in and why?

Nothing, most technologies have some value that eventually shows up elsewhere or inspires something else.
