Beyond Ada Lovelace
November is Women in Tech month at IT Pro, find out what to expect

Each October for the past three years, people have marked Ada Lovelace Day both in recognition of her founding contribution, nearly 200 years ago, to what would eventually become computer science and as a celebration of women in tech more generally.
We've decided to build on this celebration by dedicating the month of November to women in tech.
You can expect to read profiles on pioneers such as NASA software engineer Margaret Hamilton and leaders such as IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, Q&As with women working within the IT industry and outside it, plus analysis of how to reduce the gender imbalance within IT.
This will be first and foremost a celebration of the contribution women have made and continue to make to technological progress and the tech industry, but we won't be ignoring the significant hurdles facing women who want to work in IT either, nor the challenges they face once they enter the workforce.
Our series begins on 31 October, so follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and sign up to our daily newsletter to be sure you don't miss anything!
