Novetta buys software engineering firm WaveStrike
The acquisition will strengthen customer position and create new opportunities for WaveStrike employees
Novetta announced today it has scooped up software engineering company WaveStrike.
The acquisition closed on June 10, with financial services company Baird serving as the exclusive financial advisor to WaveStrike. The WaveStrike team joins the analytic capabilities division of Novetta.
Founded in 2010, WaveStrike is a premium provider of software engineering services, data analytics and technology solutions to national security customers, including the Department of Defense and the US Intelligence Community.
By acquiring the Maryland-based company, Novetta aims to deepen its capabilities and development expertise for its customers. Novetta’s acquisition of WaveStrike also creates new growth opportunities for WaveStrike’s employees.
“We are excited to welcome WaveStrike to the Novetta family. Combining our complementary capabilities and talented teams mean stronger support for our customers,” said Tiffanny Gates, Novetta president and CEO.
“The synergy between our programs positions us for larger-scale opportunities and reinforces us as a top destination for technical talent,” Gates concluded in her statement.
WaveStrike president and CEO, Anne Wagner, explained the acquisition was a natural step for WaveStrike, adding: “We can continue our commitment to delivering innovative solutions to customers and be a part of a company that believes in supporting, developing, and training the industry’s top talent.”
“Looking at Novetta, it is what we imagined WaveStrike to be when we grew up,” remarked Mike Wagner, VP and CTO of WaveStrike.
Anne and Mike will continue to lead the WaveStrike team as a new division within Novetta. As part of the analytic capabilities division, the WaveStrike team will take on delivering advanced analytic and technical solutions that are scalable and able to address challenges of national and global significance.
Novetta is currently headquartered in McLean, Virginia with a workforce of 1,000 employees nationwide.
