Amazon iPhone app lands in the UK
British iPhone and iPod touch users finally join their US counterparts with a new Amazon app.
Amazon has made its shopping app for the iPhone and iPod touch available to UK customers, a year after its launch in the US.
The Amazon Mobile App, available as a free download from the Apple App Store, links to your Amazon account and allows you search for items, manage Wish Lists, place orders through Amazon's 1-Click ordering system and then track them afterwards.
It also introduces a feature called Amazon Remembers. If you spot an item you fancy while out and about, take a photo of it using your iPhone or iPod touch, upload it to Amazon's servers and Amazon Remembers will try to find a matching item in stock, sending you an email notification within 24 hours if it is successful.
The Amazon iPhone app launched in the US in December last year.
