Dell goes multi-touch with Inspiron One 19, Studio 17
Dell looks to bring touch into the home with a new low-cost, all-in-one as well as its first multi-touch laptop.

Dell has unveiled two multi-touch PCs, the Inspiron One 19 all-in-one desktop and the Studio 17 laptop.
Multi-touch is what's found on devices like the iPhone, meaning users can carry out tasks like resizing photos, navigate the web or select items without using a keyboard.
The first Dell laptop with multi-touch, the 17.3in Studio 17 laptop runs Intel Core 2 Duo Processors and comes with JBL branded audio, but pricing is not yet announced and it won't be available for another month.
The Insipron One 19 features a high definition widescreen display, wireless keyboard and mouse, and is just four inches deep. Despite including multi-touch, it's Dell's "most affordable option" for an all-in-one, coming in at 499 plus VAT.
David Clifton, director of consumer marketing for Dell Europe, said in a statement that "both products perform as well as being stylish, so they can handle the common tasks we all use at home every day."
Microsoft's newly released Windows 7 OS has many touch screen features built-in, but it remains to be seen how useful touch will be for office productivity.
Read on to find out if touchscreens work for businesses.
