Dell has unveiled a new product that can keep malware locked into a browser, rather than infecting the whole operating system.
The Dell KACE Secure Browser provides a virtualised version of Mozilla's Firefox onto a machine.
When any malicious files work their way from the internet onto the browser, it locks them down without letting the files infect the computer.
"Any changes resulting from browser activity may be quickly and easily reset to effectively "undo" such changes and return it to its initially installed state," said Dell.
"This makes it much easier to clean a system and bring the user back to full productivity."
There are also options to whitelist and blacklist processes and websites to further prevent infection from well-known causes.
The browser can be installed onto a single PC or across a business network, using the Dell KACE K1000 Management Appliance.
Although only providing version 3.6 of Firefox right now, the company is working on an Internet Explorer version. The current version is only compatible with Windows XP, Vista on Windows 7 machines.
