Motorola has announced the new 2015 model of its budget Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphone, the Moto G.
Available now, the new Moto G apparently has the same 13 megapixel camera as Google's flagship Nexus 6, which should address long-running complaints about poor cameras that have dogged previous Moto G phones. Superior low light sensitivity and a colour balancing flash are just some of the features Motorola claims will help users take better photos.
Surprisingly for a budget phone, the new Moto G is waterproof when submerged for 30 minutes in up to a metre of water. In addition to the swappable fascias found in older Moto Gs, the new model apparently has an improved, easier to grip rear panel which can also be customised online at Motorola's Moto Maker store. As well as different colour options, you can add an engraved inscription too - a first for the Moto G.
The Moto G comes with a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 quad core processor and costs 179 (inc VAT) for the version with 8GB of built-in storage. 16GB will cost you 30 more.
