T-Mobile has come out as the top UK mobile broadband provider in a survey released today.

The poll of 2,068 users, conducted by YouGov in July, saw the UK phone company rated the highest in eight out of 15 of categories.

These included the best value for money for data usage, ease of use, installation, billing and customer service. It also came out the best for the fastest upload and download speeds.

Steve Mitchell, head of post-pay marketing for T-Mobile, said: Our sustained success in what is probably the UK's most comprehensive and regular sampling of mobile broadband customer satisfaction, shows that customers rate us highly for value for money and levels of service."

T-Mobile has been in the spotlight recently for less positive reasons with questions hanging over it as to whether its parent company, Deutsche Telekom, would sell it off to another UK provider.

However it has found success with its exclusive G1 Google phone contract as well as selling iPhones to its high end customers.
