iPad 3G to arrive in US on 30 April
Apple has announced the launch date for the 3G version of its iPad, but there's still no set date for the UK.
The 3G version of the Apple iPad will arrive in the US on 30 April, but there's still no official launch date for the tablet device in the UK.
The second version of the device includes Wi-Fi as well as 3G, while the first version, launched earlier this month, just has Wi-Fi access. The 3G version costs about $130 more than the Wi-Fi-only edition.
The 3G edition of the device - which Apple took the opportunity to again call "magical" - will hit shelves at 5pm PST on 30 April, with pre-orders shipping the same day, Apple said.
UK shipments have been delayed until the end of May, with pricing and preorders on 10 May. Orange, O2 and Vodafone are all offering "pricing plans" of some sort for the device.
