Lumen's digital portal simplifies the ordering of IT solutions

Lumen Technologies, a Louisiana-based communications company, has announced a new online ordering portal for businesses.

The self-service ordering portal will help businesses smooth out the ordering process for networking, edge cloud and security tech solutions. It allows businesses to customize and configure the products they need, order and deploy them faster and more efficiently than before.

"In September, we introduced the Lumen technology platform for delivering the application and data services that are vital to our clients' success. This new digital buying experience is a foundational part of that," said Shaun Andrews, Lumen chief marketing officer.

"Through an online portal, businesses can easily price and order products on-demand, with just a few clicks. This do-it-yourself experience is one that our clients have been requesting to help them be more responsive to their specific business needs.

"The quick deployment of services can help businesses do amazing things in this 4th Industrial Revolution."

Lumen’s new digital buying portal gives customers access to various solutions for wide area networks (WAN), cloud connections, DDoS protection and more. Though the portal is a self-service model, those who need assistance can open a chat with a representative with a simple click.

This news follows an announcement in late-September that Lumen was partnering with VMware to streamline and secure edge computing.
