Postman closes $150M Series C on $2B valuation
Insight Partners leads Series C investment round, with CRV and Nexus Venture Partners joining
Postman announced today it’s secured a $150 million Series C investment on a $2 billion valuation. The Series C investment round was led by Insight Partners and also included Postman’s previous investors, CRV and Nexus Venture Partners, also joining in the investment round.
Postman is the leading platform for API development. According to the company, more than 11 million users rely on Postman to streamline collaboration and simplify steps associated with API development. A winner of the Gartner Peer Insights Customer Choice Award, Postman is currently being used by companies such as Intuit, Microsoft and Shopify.
“Developers all over the world are rapidly transitioning from the code-first mindset to an API-first mindset with Postman being the center of this revolution,” said Postman CEO and co-founder Abhinav Asthana.
Atlassian engineering manager Jeff Gibson, a Postman customer, added, “At Atlassian, the Postman platform enables us to quickly onboard new hires and has increased our overall developer productivity. The ability to collaborate while building new services and integrating third-party capabilities has made life easier for our developers. Adopting Postman was a smart decision that has delivered real ROI."

Postman was founded in 2014 by Asthana, Ankit Sobti and Abhijit Kane. The company is headquartered in San Francisco with a second office in Bangalore, where the company was founded.
