Battery
Apple MacBooks lead the market when it comes to battery life and are usually able to match claimed figures. However, all batteries are sealed into the device so they're not user replaceable.
MacBook Air - Featuring efficient components, Airs have the longest battery life.
The 11.6in model touts up to nine hours of Wi-Fi browsing or video playback.
Meanwhile, the 13in model has a larger battery and Apple claims it lasts up to 12 hours. We will update this review once we've tested the machines.
MacBook Pro w/Retina Display - Battery life is sacrificed to offer better performance. However, it's still up there in terms of longevity.
The 13in model offers up to nine hours of Wi-Fi browsing and video playback (we measured 10 hours and 27 minutes).

Meanwhile, the 15in device is capable of providing up to eight hours of Wi-Fi browsing and video playback (we measured 8 hours 51 minutes).
Winner: MacBook Air - It's been configured for all-day use and is the longest lasting Mac on the market.
