Virgin Media launches 1,000GB data plan for SMBs
Businesses can spread the allowance across as many SIMs and devices as they require
Virgin Media has introduced a data sharing plan that allows business users to share up to a 1TB data limit with as many devices as they like.
The plan, suited to small and medium businesses looking to cut the costs of their mobile expenditure, also caps the cost of data outside those limits to just 1 per GB.
It's been devised to address constantly changing data demands of businesses. The company explained it understands data requirements change on a month-by-month basis and so automatically upscaling or downscaling data per device every month will save overall costs.
By allowing businesses to spread the data allowance across all employee devices, if one employee exceeds their allowance and another under-uses, there's no additional cost to the business.
Businesses are able to take out as many SIM cards and devices as they require, up to a limit of 1,000GB spread across the business.
However, firms can apply individual data caps to workers on a month-by-month basis, which can then be adjusted depending on whether staff plan to work remotely and require additional data.
The cost and data limits of the enterprise plans vary according to how many SIM cards and employees a business has. For example, a business with only two employees can opt to share 10GB data across two devices for just 25 a month, while a company with 10 employees may choose a 100GB data limit for 125 a month.
