Apple fanatics looking for the new 17-inch MacBook Pro will have to wait, as it will be released mid-February rather than the end of January, as first thought.
Apple blamed the delay on the unibody' laptop, carved from a single block of aluminium. "Wrapping up the new 17-inch MacBook Pro is taking a few days longer than we expected, and we now expect to begin shipments in mid-February," Apple said in a statement.
Apple announced the new MacBooks in October. Both the Pro and standard versions saw a design overhaul and featured the anodised aluminium shell. However, only the 15-inch MacBook Pro versions were available at the time.
As well as the aluminum shell and graphic processors, the new 17-inch MacBook Pro will also have a LED-backlit widescreen display and eight hours of wireless working on a single charge.
