MWC 2010: Samsung demos first LTE-based netbook

Samsung is continuing to show off what it can do at Mobile World Congress (MWC) by demonstrating the first netbook powered by Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology alongside its newly unveiled handsets such as the Wave.

Experts have demoed a Samsung N150 - which users can also get with Wi-Fi and 3G - fired up by Samsung's own LTE modem chipset dubbed Kalmia to showcase the reliability and speed of live video streaming.

"The N150 is the smart choice to meet all your essential mobile computing needs with style," said Kyu Uhm, Vice president of Samsung's IT solutions business, in a statement.

"We see increasing demand for data services, regardless of whether the consumer is indoors, outside, or even on the move. With our end-to-end Total Solution from core chipset to a variety of devices, we are providing true value to our customers."
