BT launches Windows phone Wi-Fi app
Telco marks new app's release by announcing global Wi-Fi hotspot numbers.

BT has marked the launch of its Windows online access app by announcing that it now has 7.5 million Wi-Fi hotspots across the globe.
The offering is available to download from the Windows Phone Store and follows on from the release of similar Wi-Fi access apps for iOS, Android and BlackBerry devices.
"Our mission is to make it easy to find and use BT Wi-Fi at our 4.5 million UK hotspots," said Andy Baker, CEO at BT Wi-Fi.
BT Broadband customers can take advantage of free and unlimited access to the telco's Wi-Fi network, which it claims is the largest in the world.
Baker added: "The new Windows Mobile app completes our stable of apps, making it really easy to find a hotspot out and about, no matter what type of device you are using."
