Ingram Micro joins Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program
Ingram Micro to support services in the Asia Pacific region
Red Hat announced today it’s appointed Ingram Micro as a distributor of the Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider (CCSP) program supporting Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong.
Ingram Micro will work alongside Red Hat to qualify, recruit and onboard partners as Certified Cloud and Service Providers. The appointment of Ingram Micro is a result of growing interest in hybrid cloud solutions in the Asia Pacific region.
The Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program encompasses hundreds of cloud, system integrators and managed service providers in the Asia Pacific region. This also includes software developers and hardware manufacturers using Red Hat products and technologies to host machines, build cloud environments, and provide managed-application and container-development services.
“We are proud and excited to be part of the Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program,” said Francis Choo, vice president and chief country executive of Ingram Micro Asia Ltd.
“It further strengthens our current foothold in the digital transformation journey where hybridization, microservices and open source solutions are the key considerations when businesses build and manage their IT infrastructure,” Choo added.
Red Hat awards its CCSP designation to partners that have not only met testing and certification requirements but can also successfully deliver scalable, supported and consistent environments equipped with security features designed with enterprise cloud deployments in mind. In doing so, Red Hat is able to assure customers that a solution has been validated by its product experts.
The appointment of Ingram Micro comes at a time when spending on public cloud services and infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region is expected to increase. Experts expect a five-year compound annual growth rate of 33% that’ll reach $77.6 billion by 2023.
