Pricing
The iPad Air starts at 399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model. If you need more storage a 32GB version will cost 479. At the high-end a 64GB tablet is priced 559 and you'll have to fork out 639 if you want the maximum available 128GB SSD.
Apple offers 4G versions too - and these are 100 more expensive than the Wi-Fi models. Prices start at 499 for the 16GB entry-level edition, rising to 739 for the 128GB Air.
Sony's pricing structure is simple. If you need a Wi-Fi only tablet you can get the 16GB version for 399 or the 32GB version for 449. If you want an 4G tablet you can get the 16GB 4G slate for 499.
Luckily with Sony tablets there's the option of microSD card support so you get the 16GB model and then use a micro SD card.
Winner Sony Xperia Z2 - The devices start at the same price, but the Z2 offers more value
