Verdict
Both the iPad and Xperia Z2 are brilliantly designed and perform well. The iPad won key areas including display, battery life and software. However, not to be outdone, the Z2 fought back by winning design, hardware/connectivity and pricing.
The iPad is still the best option when it comes to security and battery life but Sony has created a viable challenger. Although battery life and display might not match Apple, the Z2 has more powerful components and is the more versatile thanks to the waterproof/dustproof coating and removable storage. You get more value for money with the Xperia.
