Informatica has announced a suite of tools for organisations using Tableau to manage data, driving productivity, with substantial time savings too.

The services include data integration, data preparation and a range of visual templates for Tableau customers in entire organisations without requiring any training or input from specialised teams.

Customers can collect the data from hundreds of data sources - whether in the cloud, on-premise or hybrid environments - then process the sources including cleansing and standardising the data and using one of the integrated templates, create visualisations to distribute around the organisation.

“Informatica is expanding our support by bringing every Tableau user in the cloud, desktop and server the ability to explore any data and get answers," Ronen Schwartz, senior vice president and general manager, Informatica Cloud said.

"We are offering wide access to applications and databases, with point-and-click simple data extraction, for on-premise and cloud data through easy visual cleansing and blending. Only with timely and trusted data can Tableau users realise the potential of powerful data visualisation without having to argue whether the data is accurate.”

Informatica also launched an app for the Informatica REV platform, meaning Tableau customers can access third party cloud apps including Salesforce and Netsuite to help visualise other data such as sales or marketing performance.

“Informatica shares Tableau’s mission to help people see and understand their data,” said Kelly Wright, Executive Vice President of Sales at Tableau. “Informatica helps customers create and clean governed data, then bring it together in one place where it can be easily analysed in Tableau. This partnership brings together what customers need to create agile, self-service analytics.”
