Dell unveils OptiPlex 3011 All-in-One
AiO features 20in full HD display and virtualisation capabilities.
Dell has unveiled its latest range of OptiPlex all-in-one desktops, which are designed to be used in business, education and retail sectors.
Key features of the OptiPlex 3011 include a 20in WLED display with 1600 x 900 resolution, support for Intel Core and Pentium chips, 8GB of RAM and a choice of Windows 7/8 or Ubuntu operating systems pre-loaded.
Users purchasing the device with Windows 8 can also choose to have the OptiPlex ship with a touch screen. The AiO is also capable of supporting VESA mounting.
In terms of ports, the device will feature 2 x USB 3 ports, 8 x USB 2 ports (4 internal and 4 external), 1 x Serial port and 1 x RJ45 jack. The OptiPlex 3011 will also include an 8-in-1 card reader as standard and Dell offers the option to add a wireless 802.11n card, discrete graphics and optical drives.
Dell claims IT admins will be able to manage the devices easily using Dell KACE. The OptiPlex 3011 can also be synced with the Dell Cloud Desktop, which providing access to virtual desktops and applications through Dell's Wyse WSM.
The OptiPlex 3011 will start shipping in early June, with prices starting at 599.
Dell will also offer factory image loading, BIOS and hardware customisation as well asset tagging and reporting. Additional service and support packages can also be purchased depending on the needs of the organisation.
