Twitter use jumps 700 per cent
Twitter’s site traffic has been increasing rapidly and shows no signs of slowing.
Worldwide traffic to Twitter approached 10 million in February, up more than 700 per cent from last year.
Traffic to the US site alone hit four million, up 1,000 per cent from last year, according to comScore.
In a blog post, comScore's Sarah Radwanick said the firm expected to see another "huge" increase next month.
She also noted that Twitter users tend to be older than on many other social networking sites. "With so many businesses using Twitter, along with the first generations of internet users 'growing up' and comfortable with technology, this is a sign that the traditional early adopter model might need to be revisited," she said.
