BT has announced that it is replacing the chief executive of its Global Services arm for the third time in less than two years.
Jeff Kelly joins the division after 25 years working for EDS, taking over from 26-year BT veteran Hanif Lalani.
A statement from the company claimed Lalani was leaving to "pursue personal business interests" and the move comes into force with immediate effect.
Global Services has been the thorn in BT's side of late, continually dropping in profits and bringing down the company's overall financial results.
The previous chief executive, Franois Barrault, stepped down under a cloud back in November 2008 after he didn't achieve the financial expectations demanded by the division.
It was then revealed that he received a 1.6 million payoff regardless of the division's failings.
Tens of thousands of jobs were cut due to losses from Global Services of over 1 billion.
Regardless of its rocky past, Kelly is positive about his role to get the division back on track.
"I am thrilled to be joining BT at such an exciting time," he said.
"I know from experience that Global Services enjoys a terrific reputation for its customer service and client base. My job is to build on those foundations and create a business that delivers value to BT's shareholders as well as its customers."
