Top 10 Windows Phone 7 business features
Windows Phone 7 isn’t just for consumers. We take a look at the top 10 business features in Microsoft's latest mobile operating system.
SharePoint Workspace Mobile
If you use SharePoint 2010 at work, you can use it on your Windows Phone 7 with the bundled SharePoint Workspace Mobile client.
You can open Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files for viewing and editing and then save your changes directly back to your server.
If you want to edit files off the server, you can take them offline, edit and then re-upload them to the server.
It's easy to share documents too you can send an email or text message link to the file on the SharePoint server and distribute amongst colleagues direct from the Office Hub.
Microsoft OneNote Mobile
If you'd rather make a note rather than a whole document, you can use Microsoft OneNote Mobile.
Whether you want to create a list, add a voice clip or insert a picture from your picture library, you can do so quickly and easily using this feature.
You can then email your edited notes to colleagues direct from the app, cutting out the email creation middleman.
Skydrive
Skydrive is a cloud-based backup service for Windows Phone 7. It is accessed through Windows Live and not only backs up your contacts, emails and calendar, but also backs up your Office documents too.
Once you've backed up your documents, you can view them on a PC or Mac, even if you don't have Office installed.
Find My Phone
Like iPhone's Find My iPhone app, Windows Phone 7 features a tool called Find My Phone that allows you to locate your device if you lose it or it's stolen.
The service is hosted on Windows Live and to activate the phone finder, you just need to log into Windows Live on any computer. From here, you can ring your phone, lock it, erase the storage, show your phone on a location map and post a 'Please Return' note on the screen.
