HP Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise review

Can an inkjet printer really replace a laser and still get the job done? Simon Handby takes a look at HP's enterprise-oriented inkjet, the Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise, to find out.

Fortunately, it's easy to overlook most of these criticisms. The Officejet's print quality is still good enough for the formal letters, menus, presentations or casual printouts that it might need to produce, and its speed is quick enough for its target environment where it's unlikely to print frequent, bulk jobs.

So what's our verdict?

Verdict

The HP Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise's large consumables promise low running costs and infrequent, easy servicing by the end user. While it's slower than a laser and can't quite match a laser for quality, it's quieter, cooler and less power-hungry, while still being fairly robust. Not every enterprise needs a fleet of small inkjets, but this simple printer is brilliantly suited to those that do.
