8) Apple iPad 3
Although it's since been superseded by the fourth generation, the iPad 3 was the first of Apple's tablet to packs the critically acclaimed Retina Display that's 2048 x 1536 pixels or 264 pixels per inch. The result was incredible clarity for text and images.
In terms of raw performance, the device clocked a A5X 1GHz dual-core processor, and also packed support for 4G. But it's the quality of the display and the apps which still make it one of the best devices around.
