ShoreTel and Interoute team up for global UC offering

Business partnership tree puzzles

ShoreTel and Interoute have teamed up to offer a cross-territory unified communications platform that will be able to serve high volumes of customers, wherever they may be located.

The partnership will see ShoreTel's Connect unified communications products deployed on Interroute's Enterprise Digital Platform to offer higher levels of scalability for global enterprises.

The solution is perfect for the hospitality sector, which needs to ensure operators and employees across the globe can communicate in real time, without impacting their customers.

"The Interoute Enterprise Digital Platform is a full service unified ICT infrastructure that is designed for the rapid deployment of enterprise solutions," Mark Lewis, EVP of products and development at Interoute, said.

"We are pleased to be working with ShoreTel to enable ShoreTel Connect and Contact Centre solutions to support enterprise users across the world. Clearly, unified communications is an important component for any size of business to drive collaboration, efficiency and growth.

“The reach, low latency connectivity and integrated voice service built into the Interoute Enterprise Digital Platform, make it easy for partners like ShoreTel to take their UC solutions global.”

One of the partnership's first deployments was for Worldhotels, which chose the ShoreTel Connect solution using Interoute‘s Enterprise Digital Platform with SIP trunking. It's so far allowed the hotel group to scale its operation so it can grow and adapt as the company's demands change.

"There is an incredible opportunity for international organisations such as Worldhotels to transform their IT and communications in the cloud," commented Adrian Hipkiss, vice president and managing director of EMEA at ShoreTel.

"By deploying our ShoreTel Connect solution on Interoute’s Enterprise Digital Platform, we have already enabled customers to manage their unified communications across numerous international locations in a consistent and scalable way."
