Microsoft’s flagship Surface Pro range hasn’t always delivered the best performance, but its Surface Pro 8 was a significant step up from the Surface Pro 7. Built with the Intel Evo platform, the 8 is a great 13in 2-in-1 with a highly responsive touch screen and stylus, and Windows 11 straight out of the box. For Prime Day, the Surface Pro 8 comes with a 30% discount, available at just $1,120.

Acer Aspire Vero AV15-51-5155 - Was $700, now $424

Offering some of the most significant savings in the laptop category, the Acer Aspire Vero AV15-51-5155 is a solid mid-range performer that’s due to see a hefty chunk taken off its $700 RRP. In the Prime Day sale for just $424, the Aspire Vero AV15-51-5155 delivers an Intel Core i5 CPU and displays it all on a sprawling 15.6in 1080p display. It also comes with the latest Windows 11 Home operating system and plenty of ports, making it an ideal choice for remote and in-office workers alike.

Acer Swift 3 - Was $750, now $427

If pure speed on a small budget is what your workforce is looking for in a new machine, the Acer Swift 3’s impressive 43% price reduction in the Prime Day sales is well worth a look. Down to $427 from $750, the Swift 3’s capable Ryzen 7 chip will hold up well to most workloads. It lacks the bells and whistles of a higher-end laptop, but has performance to burn where it counts.

Acer Aspire 5 A515-46-R3UB - Was $400, now $259

This budget beast just got better. The Acer Aspire 5 A515-46-R3UB was already a solid choice for those on a limited budget, but with it being knocked down to $259 from its $400 RRP in the Amazon Prime Day sales, the value proposition just got a lot stronger. Known for its solid performance, driven by an AMD Ryzen 3 CPU and a thin and light design, the Aspire 5 A515-46-R3UB is a bargain pick-up that will perform admirably for general day-to-day office work.

Asus VivoBook Flip 14 - Was $480, now $280

A perfect pick-up for anyone looking for a versatile device on a budget, the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 combines laptop-grade performance with tablet-like portability and functionality - ideal for nomadic creative professionals. The model on offer is the lower-tier version equipped with an Intel Core i3 processor, a 128GB SSD, and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The specs will still be enough for general office work and with the $280 Prime Day sale price representing more than a 41% drop, it’s a real steal for anyone looking for a capable two-in-one at a bargain price.

Asus VivoBook Flip 15 f515 - Was $450, now $287

For those wanting a little more screen estate from their two-in-one, the Asus VivoBook Flip 15 comes in at just $7 more on the Prime Day discount price compared to the 14, but offers a little more for the money. There are two main reasons you may want to invest the extra few dollars - firstly, the screen is 1.6in bigger than the VivoBook Flip 14 and it also has double the RAM with 8GB inside. The bigger IPS display would easily be enough to warrant the extra money but a RAM upgrade makes it a no-brainer, unless portability is your priority.

Dell XPS 13 9310 - Was $1,600, now $1,359

Dell’s XPS line has long been a favourite at IT Pro HQ and the 13in model is perfect for just about anyone looking for a machine that has it all: performance, design, stunning display, and more. The XPS 13 9310 is both a brilliant computer while offering a brilliant user experience in the same breath. We loved it back in our 2020 review and still think it’s not one to pass up two years later. You can pick it up in Amazon’s Prime Day deals this week with hundreds off the RRP - down from $1,600 to $1,359.

HP 14 Laptop - Was $482, now $332

One of the most compelling laptop deals on offer this week is the HP 14, which offers solid mid-range performance thanks to a Ryzen 5 chip, all at a budget price of $332 - down from $482. What it lacks in luxury features like a striking display or backlit keyboard, it makes up for in the fundamentals. A great CPU coupled with an ample 8GB of RAM, good battery life, plus a fingerprint reader for added security, makes the HP 14 a strong choice for anyone looking for a new work laptop.

HP 15 Laptop - Was $554, now $410

Fitted with a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, among the fastest in the range, the HP 15 is a similar proposition to the HP 14 in that it delivers performance far beyond what would be expected from its low price - even before the 26% discount. Like the HP 14, it lacks the added extras you’d typically find on a pricier machine but it does the basics swiftly and efficiently thanks to its technical specifications, and for an office machine, what more do you need?
