IT PRO goes to the Hadron Collider
We were lucky enough to go to CERN this week and see how the LHC project was getting along, with a little help from some tech giants.


As the name of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid hints, and the picture below testifies, CERN's grand experiment is not just the work of bodies in France or Switzerland, or even Europe.
It is a collaborative global effort and proof that when not just countries but companies and industries come together, incredible things can happen.
As Bertolucci put it: "You do nothing in this field without collaboration."
