Exertis bolsters enterprise line-up with wireless distributor

Exertis has acquired specialist wireless distributor Siracom for an undisclosed sum.
Siracom, which supplies a range of wireless infrastructure and security products to more than 1000 partners across the UK, employs 15 staff at its offices in Basingstoke.
Exertis, meanwhile, stocks 350 global technology brands and has more than 22,850 resellers and retailers across Europe. The distributor describes Siracom as “an excellent strategic fit to our commercial offering to the channel, which now encompasses server, storage, networking, UC, security and wireless networking whilst being complemented by our service wrap giving the reseller an opportunity to work with us on numerous technologies.”
Siracom's vendor line-up inlcudes Fortinet, Meru Networks, Samsung Wireless Enterprise, Spectralink and Cyberoam.
“We are delighted with the addition of Siracom to the Exertis business,” comments Phil Brown, Exertis UK’s IT sales & commercial director, in a statement: “The hard work begins now as we set about integrating Siracom and their team into our business and continue to deliver the excellent customer service and extensive knowledge & support that customers have been used to.”
Adds: David Thompson, managing director of Siracom: “The Siracom team has built a great business and a great reputation in the field of Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi security. To join with Exertis, its broad market reach and its expertise in logistics and marketing is a compelling proposition. I am confident that this fantastic combination will lead to accelerated growth and a wonderful future for all stakeholders.”
