Dell has agreed a distribution deal with Midwich to expand its printer business in the UK.

The vendor says the move is in response to feedback from UK resellers that said Dell needed to strengthen its distribution network.

Midwich joins Micro P in distributing Dell’s range of single and multifunction colour laser printers. In a statement, Alex Ward, commercial director at Midwich says: “Dell offers resellers a reliable and recognised brand with its strong corporate name. This is a significant opportunity for resellers and means that we can support all our customers’ needs with a wide choice of competitive, quality products. We are delighted that Midwich was the preferred reseller’s choice and we are looking forward to supporting Dell’s channel strategy.”

Adds Dave McNally, head of imaging sales EMEA at Dell: “Dell is always looking for the right partners to enable us to strengthen our offering to resellers and their customers. Midwich is a prominent UK distributor and the company’s decision to offer our printer line-up is a great endorsement of our credentials.

“We look forward to bringing our printer technology to more businesses across the UK as a result.”
