“LCD Monitors volumes through Context’s UK distributor panel grew by +7% in April 2016 following double-digit growth in Q1. The growth so far in 2016 is pushed by consumers wanting to upgrade their monitors for such reasons as new gaming features, higher resolutions, better colour reproduction or just simply a panel or screen size upgrade,” comments Lachlan Welsh, senior analyst at Context.
“21.5” models were the most popular and accounted for 8 out of the top 10 selling SKUs in week 21, followed by 24” varieties. While Acer had four out of the 10 SKUs pushed by strong sales to the retail channel, helped by aggressive pricing.”
