Gigamon (NYSE: GIMO) has expanded its executive team with the appointment of industry veteran Barbara Spicek as its new VP of channel sales.

Spicek (pictured) was most recently EVP of global sales at Nexsan Storage Solutions. “With the channel playing such a strategic role for Gigamon, having an experienced and savvy channel leader is critical,” comments Helmut Wilke, senior VP worldwide sales at Gigamon. “Barbara brings an impressive track record of building global channel relationships, and her insight, knowledge and experience position her as the ideal executive to drive Gigamon’s global channel strategy.”

“I am very excited to join the Gigamon team,” says Spicek. “Gigamon’s Security Delivery Platform and Visibility Fabric are market-leading technologies that are now more relevant than ever. Solutions from Gigamon represent an outstanding revenue opportunity for our channel partners worldwide and I look forward to strengthening and expanding our ecosystem.”
