Avnet launches CommVault partner programme

Avnet Technology Solutions (NYSE: AVT) has partnered with CommVault which will see the distributor train up partners to sell CommVault’s Simpana software.

Developed to complement CommVault’s existing partner programme in the UK, the Evolve Partner Programme will provide new and existing partners with support across business planning, sales and technical training, lead generation and pipeline management.

Tom Corrigan, open storage and Cisco business unit leader at Avnet Technology Solutions, UK, says the distie has seen high demand for CommVault technology, adding that “Evolve provides the ideal framework for Avnet’s business partners to get involved and gain market share in a high growth technology area. We know that partners want to develop their capabilities in this sector, and the Evolve Partner Programme provides a perfect means to do this.

To maintain focus and quality, Avnet says it is limiting the number of partners accepted onto the Evolve programme “to mirror CommVault’s targeted approach to its own partner community.”

We trust Avnet and its network to effectively spread the CommVault message of scalable, enterprise-ready data management solutions available through a select number of well-trained business partners.”

Update: Cloud orchestration provider Ospero has announced it is partnering with CommVault to enable a managed

service capability for the entire data lifecycle from backup to archiving and disaster recovery based on CommVault’s Simpana 10 software suite.
