Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) today revealed it would be introducing a series of new specialisations as part of an overhaul of its TrueNorth Partner Programme.

“Our goal is to empower our partners to develop new avenues for growth through joint go-to-market strategies and customised programme plans that maximise their sales opportunities,” explains Mike Walkey, senior VP, Global Partners and Alliances at HDS.

The vendor says both its new Virtualisation and Migration Services Specialisations enable partners to utilise its Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) platform to offer customers value-added services using HDS technologies.

In addition, its new File and Content Services Specialisation enables partners to identify, design and implement storage solutions for their customers’ unstructured data. Certified partners can add services in Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) enablement, NAS enablement and data discovery with Hitachi Data Discovery Suite (HDDS).

Meanwhile, its Application Specialisation and Vertical Solutions leverage Hitachi Technology Alliance Programme applications from Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Symantec and VMware to give partners in industries like health and life sciences, government, and communications, media and entertainment a range of potential solutions.

Comments Steen Balle, business unit manager at Arrow ECS: “The Application Specialisation offered as part of the Hitachi TrueNorth Specialisation Program enables us to deploy AMS 2000 with VAAI more easily and thus demonstrate valuable integration to our customers.”

“Adding specific specialisations and new vertical market solutions to the Hitachi TrueNorth Partner Programme gives our partners greater levels of flexibility to offer custom and advanced services that will significantly expand their trusted advisor status with customers,” adds Hicham Abdessamad, senior vice president, Global Services, HDS.
