Violin Memory has named storage veteran Vince Blackall as its new VP of channels for EMEA.

Prior to Violin, Blackhall (pictured) was managing director, channels EMEA at CommVault for six years, and most recently was director of channel and alliances EMEA at Dell Software.

At Violin, Blackall will be responsible for “overseeing and aggressively growing the EMEA channel”. Steven Rose, Violin’s SVP of EMEA and LATAM says Blackall’s track record “speaks for itself.”

He comments: “As the demand for unprecedented levels of storage speed continues to fuel Violin’s growth, our global partner network is becoming increasingly pivotal to our overall expansion strategy and I can think of no better person to drive our renewed channel efforts than Vince.”

“I’m very pleased to part of the Violin Memory team. The channel is vital for the company and I’m amazed by the positive growth the company has seen,” adds Blackall. “I look forward to building on relationships with Violin Memory’s valued partners, as well as finding new opportunities in the channel.”
