Maplin Launches iPhone App
Electronics retailer extends mobile presence with free application

The UK's biggest specialist retailer of consumer electronics, Maplin, has announced the launch of its new shopping App, which allows customers to browse over 15,000 products.
Giving the retailer's customers the chance to see new product ranges before they hit the shelves in stores, the app also covers the entire Maplin range.
The App can be used to quickly search top sellers, latest prices, special offers and clearance items, plus it also has a 'find nearest store' function, providing opening hours and directions, using Geolocation services on the supported iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices.
Full product range searches can also be carried out, either by product category or by Maplin's unique product codes, and the App comes with secure ordering so that customers can buy with confidence.
David O’Reilly Marketing Director commented: “The new iPhone Shopping App further strengthens our multi-channel capabilities and complements our existing mobile website, making it even more convenient for our customers to shop at Maplin.”
