MSPs can now pay-as-you-go with McAfee
McAfee introduces more software solutions to its MSP programme on pay-as-you-go basis

McAfee has expanded its Managed Service Provider (MSP) programme http://www.mcafee.com/msp to aid partners meet the requirement of customers seeking to adopt security as a Managed Service.
With managed and hosted service deployments expected to increase by 35 percent within the next two years according to InfoTech Research Group, channel partners that provide Managed Security Services play a vital role in managing customer’s security environments.
“Security deployment models are shifting and the demand for Managed Services deployments amongst enterprises continue to expand for all types of security technologies,” says Gavin Struthers, senior vice president of worldwide channels at McAfee.
Recognising the shift, McAfee is positioning its channel partners to take advantage of this change by offering its appliances to MSPs with a pay-as-you-go model. The MSP programme will also contain access to McAfee Next Generation Firewall, McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, McAfee Network Security Platform and McAfee Advanced Threat Defence. The company also announced its portfolio of authentication solutions will now be available through its MSP programme.
“The introduction of these technologies to our MSP programme will allow our partners to expand their portfolio and differentiate themselves while generating additional revenue opportunities,” Struthers concludes.
Intel CEO Brian Krzanich announced last month at CES in Las Vegas that the vendor is to drop the McAfee brand name in favour of Intel Security.
