Wick Hill appoints Gibbs to head new convergence business

Wick Hill has appointed Siobhan Gibbs as business development manager, heading up the distributor’s the VoIP team and spearheading its converged voice/data solutions business.

Gibbs’ responsibilities include growing the channel for new Wick Hill vendor Samsung, getting the voice part of the business running, and working on building up Wick Hill’s converged voice/data portfolio.

She comments: “At the moment, there isn’t a successful converged voice/data value added distributor out there. This is a great opportunity for me to help Wick Hill become the first one.”

“We are planning for significant growth with voice and data resellers looking for marketing, sales and technical support as customers increasingly require broader knowledge in a converged environment,” she adds.

Gibbs has worked in telecoms distribution for fifteen years, and previously worked for Westcon Group as head of sales and for MTV (now ScanSource) as sales director.
