EET Group adds to surveillance range
Sony adds EET Group to its distie line up for video surveillance products

Sony (NYSE:SNE) has appointed EET Group as a new European distributor for its surveillance equipment.
Simon Smith, EET’s UK managing director (pictured), says the firm has been “working very hard” to secure a leading position in the distribution of surveillance equipment in Europe.
“We have during the last twelve months acquired Ernitec, enlarged our product portfolio and increased our sales team,” he says. “We are very proud that Sony has acknowledged our efforts and decided to be part of our development plans.”
EET Group’s video surveillance includes Axis, Ernitec, Everfocus, IQeye, Microlight IR, Milestone, Mirasys, Mobotix, Multieye, OPAX, Orion Technology, Pelco, PureVision, Agent-VI, A-soni and Samsung.
A report from analyst firm Frost and Sullivan earlier this year highlighted the opportunities for resellers from the CCTV market. According to the market watchers survey, 12 percent of end users said they are planning to install an IP/network video solution within the next 12 months, with growth expected to be faster among SMEs.
