Calyx adds Backup and DR to IaaS
Calyx expands cloud portfolio with Backup and DR as a service

MSP Calyx has unveiled two new key additions to its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offering – Back Up as a Service (BUaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS).
The firm says service provides a cost effective alternative for medium and enterprise companies looking to take advantage of cloud technology without committing to large capital expenditure programmes.
Steve Clark, CEO at Calyx, comments: “We’ve seen exceptional growth in demand for our standard IaaS offering because it delivers a solid, stable infrastructure that offers excellent long term return on investment – a key concern for our customers. But data security and protection are also important. That is why we have invested in these new and enhanced services. We now have infrastructure replicated in datacentres in both the North and South of the UK and a market-leading solution that brings with it a guaranteed availability supported by stringent SLAs.”
The solutions form part of Calyx’s Hybrid Cloud portfolio, which is backed by its 24/7/365 service desk, which offers in-house 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support and is based at the company’s headquarters in Manchester.
“Gartner predicts that IaaS will achieve a CAGR of 41.3% through to 2016, so it’s clear that this is a growth area,” adds Clark. “Calyx’s refreshed solution will give customers complete flexibility to choose the right infrastructure according to their individual needs and the nature of the task.”
