Sage has announced Jacqueline de Rojas will lead its business across Northern Europe.

de Rojas – who most recently led the Northern European business as general manager & area VP for Citrix – will join the company in the autumn and lead the tech company's UK & Ireland business with 2000 colleagues headquartered in Newcastle.

Sage says de Rojas (pictured) will be responsible for growing the business, focusing on recurring revenue growth and driving software subscription revenues.

de Rojas is well-known as an advocate for diversity in the IT industry, and is the board champion for women on the board of techUK, of which she is president. She also serves as a non-executive director on the board at Home Retail Group PLC, and was named the most influential woman in IT in the UK 2015, and in Debrett’s 500 People of Influence in social and digital this year.

She has also held executive positions at CA Technologies and McAfee.

“Jacqueline has blazed a trail in our industry, as a tech expert and as an inspiring female leader,” says Sage CEO, Stephen Kelly. “We are so thrilled to be bringing her vision, leadership and passion for tech and enterprise to Sage. She will re-energise our business across this crucial region and continue to push us forward as a champion of small & medium businesses in Northern Europe.”

Says de Rojas: “I have spent my career committed to the technology industry, especially in the UK, and I am passionate about harnessing its potential to create a digital nation of significance. I’m inspired by Sage’s commitment to this cause and by the transformation journey this global tech powerhouse is undertaking. Now, more than ever before, business needs to step up and play its part in seizing the opportunity to create a nation of entrepreneurs.”
