Sage exec appointed Version One MD
Former Sage midmarket MD named new Version One head

Document management and imaging company Version One has revealed Greg Ford is to replace outgoing managing director Julian Buck.
Ford comes from Sage, where he was most recently as MD of the accounting software firm’s midmarket division.
Comments Ford: “There remains considerable market opportunity for Version One’s document management and imaging solutions, both inside and outside the finance function. I’m excited to be part of Version One’s future and am confident that we have the right partners, solutions and people in place to deliver year-on-year growth.”
Version One, which part of Advanced Computer Software Group (LON:ASW), says a priority over the next 12 months with be “re-energising Version One’s partner network”. This, it says, will include working closer with its existing software author partners and resellers, “from pre-sales and marketing through to support and training, maximising revenue opportunities.”
Says Ford: “Our partners are vital to our success and so we need to ensure they have all the tools to effectively resell our solutions. Equipping them with these tools will be a major focus for us over the next 12 months.”
Version One had no information regarding Buck's future plans.
