Business automation software provider, V1, has named its head of sales Janette Martin as its MD, replacing Greg Ford.

Martin has more than 14 years sales management experience in the software industry, primarily at Sage UK where she held several senior roles including general manager (outsourcing) and head of sales (accountants and SME software).

In her new post, she will lead 90 members of staff and will oversee the development of four new products into the existing V1 portfolio.

V1, traditionally known for its document management software, recently expanded its product portfolio. The firm now offers a range of business automation solutions including professional services automation, training & learning management, facilities management and project accounting.

Explains Martin: “V1 has a strong presence in the UK document management arena, and our new solutions will enable us to expand our footprint in the business automation space.

“The company has grown significantly in the last 12 months and my main goal now is to continue driving the business forward, using the momentum of economic recovery to springboard our own ambitious year-on-year growth plans.

“I’m thrilled to be part of a company with such an exciting future, and am confident we have the right partners, solutions and staff in place to deliver further impressive results as we move forward.”

Ford has taken up the post of managing director of the Exchequer and Field Service at V1’s sister company, Advanced Business Solutions. As MD of Version One – which re-branded as V1 earlier this year – Ford outlined a series of initiatives aimed at “re-energising” the firm’s channel sales.
