The move, said the company in a statement, is part of MTI’s strategy to provide complete datacentre and cloud infrastructure solutions to mid-size and enterprise customers.
GSS will become the security practice of MTI and complement its infrastructure, storage, networking and virtualisation practices with existing and new security solutions and services.
Says Keith Clark, president & CEO of MTI: “It is our clear goal to grow organically and through strategic acquisitions to further drive the success of the company’s cloud strategy and existing partnerships. I am pleased to complete our first successful acquisition and expect to continue building our proposition to offer an ever more comprehensive MTI solutions set to our customers and shareholders.”
GSS has more than 1,000 customers in the UK with more than 2m users across a number of vertical markets including major financial institutions, NHS trusts, central and local government, education, travel, retail and manufacturing. Its portfolio of security services that includes backup, intrusion detection, bandwidth management, web services, desktop protection and remote access, as well as network optimisation, testing and consultancy will continue to be available to customers while GSS is integrated into MTI.
Comments David Hobson, GSS managing director: “I welcome the opportunity to offer innovative security solutions to customers as part of the MTI portfolio.”
