FireEye has recruited ex-Storm Technologies chief Kevin Taylor as vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, who will lead the company's Advanced Threat Response Centres in Cork, Ireland and Munich, Germany, plus its labs in Dubai.
Taylor's main responsibilities will include overseeing the intelligence-led security business' operations and sales in the region, as the threat landscape grows around the world, the company said.
“Organisations across EMEA are increasingly challenged to keep up with the pace and sophistication of cyber threats, as well as an unmanageable volume of alerts from existing security solutions," Taylor commented.
"With our threat intelligence and recent innovations such as the new Helix platform, I believe FireEye is well positioned to transform security operations and lower security cost of ownership for organizations of all sizes across the region."

He will use his sales, management and cybersecurity experience gained from the role at Storm Technologies as well as various leadership positions at Symantec and HP to help leverage FireEye's position in EMEA.

I have every confidence Kevin will match the energy, passion and drive I’ve seen across our EMEA team,” said Bill Robbins, executive vice president of worldwide sales at FireEye.
CFO Mike Berry left FireEye on 3 February to join Intel Security.
