Mersive joins Logitech for collaboration tech boost

Mersive has announced it's joined Logitech's Collaboration Programme as an integrator to help it better service its customers in the collaboration space.

The onboarding means Mersive will be able to integrate Logitech's wireless content sharing and video conferencing technology into its product offerings, powering business conferencing set-ups and educational implementations.

For example, employees can select content and beam this to a shared display via the Solstice wireless collaboration system. Logitech's SmartDock for Skype Room Systems can then extend this to other users via Skype video conferencing.

Mersive explained the partnership with Logitech answers many of the demands of the company's existing customers, who have been asking for an integration between wireless content sharing and video conferencing.

“Working together with Logitech allows Mersive to offer our channel partners and users a plug-and-play solution for all of their Skype rooms that also use Solstice. Given both products’ successful track records, I believe customers are getting the best of both worlds with these two products," Rob Balgley, CEO of Mersive said.

The company added the integration will help businesses and universities become more productive, while also considering existing security policies to ensure any data remains protected thanks to the use of Solstice to power collaboration and communication.

It also works with BYOD, meaning businesses adopting a leaner strategy can easily integrate Solstice with its existing IT equipment, across multiple locations.

“We are very pleased that Mersive has joined our program,” said Scott Wharton, Vice President and General Manager of Logitech Video Collaboration. “By closely collaborating with Mersive, we are able to offer an enhanced collaboration experience to our joint customers.”
