No-code platform vendor Betty Blocks has launched a UK channel recruitment programme, designed to help businesses speed up app development and deliver more customised software projects.

Following its expansion to the UK back in January, the Dutch firm is now seeking implementation partners in the software development, digital transformation and business acceleration space who wish to streamline app development on client projects.

Recognised by Forrester as one of the three leading players in mobile no-code/low-code business development platforms, Betty Blocks software enables organisations to build their own applications easily and quickly - without writing a single line of code.

“The Betty Blocks no-code platform allows people with little to no programming experience to build complex enterprise-grade applications,” said Tom Oudhuis, VP of Partner and Channel Management at Betty Blocks. “The platform allows our partners to create applications without recruiting more coders, but by engaging a different type of developer: the Citizen Developer. This approach enables companies to speed up development and deliver more customised software projects.”

It’s an approach that appears to be thriving, too. Currently valued at $6.5 billion, the no-code/low-code market is growing at around fifty per cent per year and will be worth $21 billion at the end of 2022, according to Forrester.

“Because Betty Blocks is a visual modelling environment (rather than a programming language), it empowers your business users to build applications,” Oudhuis explained. “In turn, your professional IT team provides them with governance and support, ultimately resulting in a better alignment between the business and IT.”

As Citizen Development gains traction in digital transformation processes, many enterprises are already supporting a Citizen Developer policy to drive their innovation forward. As a result, partners can help their customers implement these strategies, enabling them to be more agile and self-sufficient in application development, Betty Blocks said.

Through the new partner program, members will also receive a number of exclusive privileges, such as a Betty Blocks annual license, development training, a support contract, sales training, as well as market resources.

Back in March, creative digital agency Holygrow became the vendor’s first partner through the new initiative.

“We are looking for partners who are passionate about finding better ways to serve their customers, are committed to invest in training and marketing, and have a clear and specific industry focus,” Ouhuis added. “The partnership with Holygrow is our first step towards a successful partner program in the UK.”
