Big Switch launches global channel programme

Global networking

Big Switch Networks has launched a new, two-tier channel programme, which it hopes will enable it to move into new geographies around the world.

The data centre networking company developed both of its programmes to address the demands of partners, with comprehensive incentives, training, certification and enablement to help them close deals and be as profitable as possible.

“As market adoption of Big Switch products accelerates, we are experiencing an increased level of interest from channel partners looking to be enabled and trained on the solutions that their customers are asking for and actively deploying,” Susheel Chitre, VP of business development at Big Switch Networks, said.

The programme will comprise Authorized Partner, which is open to all partners authorised to sell Big Switch's portfolio of products including Big Monitoring Fabric, Big Mon Inline and Big Cloud Fabric. It's also open to those who sell Dell/EMC or HPE's networking products or partners willing to sign a BSN-VAR agreement for selling Edgecore+BSN solutions. The company explained its requirements are purposefully low to encourage as many partners as possible to join the programme, although it didn't detail the specifics.

The Big Switch Premier Partner programme is for those wanting to take their businesses one step further, satisfying the requirements of the Authorized Partner tier, with additions such as a defined number of partner sales and availability of engineering employees trained and certified on BSN solutions. They must also meet monthly sales targets.

“We are launching the partner program to ensure that we can provide partners with a structured framework around training and certifications as well as financial incentives and marketing opportunities," Chitre added. "We have designed the program to be inclusive for all partners irrespective of whether they source Big Switch solutions from our switching partners, Dell EMC, Edgecore, HPE or our Value Added Distributor partners.”
